Hugh Symons Purchase New IBML Scanners

To meet demand and timescales from the numerous high volume scanning contracts recently won, HSIM has ordered 3 new IBML scanners, the first of which has been delivered this week. 

The Image Trac III scanners are capable of processing in excess of 12,000 A4 documents per hour and this state of the art technology will assist in improving turnaround times for HSIM’s clients.

Scanning Services Director of HSIM, Chris Booth, comments on the purchase:

HSIM Appointed Scanning Service Providers to Pennnine Acute Hospitals
Following the award of a 5 year scanning contract earlier this year, Hugh Symons are now involved the removal of all records from the Birch Hill Hospital site in Rochdale, which is due for closure. The files will be stored securely at Hugh Symons’ northern document processing centre whilst scanning is underway.
 

  Royal National Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases Award HSIM Contract

Hugh Symons has recently been chosen as the preferred scanning supplier for the Royal National Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases NHS Trust (Bath). Having already assessed several requirements including Dietetic Records, HR Records, Psychology Records, the Trust has now commenced their scanning project with Medical Records. In is planned that other applications will follow once this pilot project has been successfully completed.

 

Hugh Symons Staff in the Pink
The staff of Hugh Symons, Poole, were in the pink on Friday 27th October, National Breast Cancer day. This was Breast Cancer Campaign’s biggest fund raising event, and to mark it Hugh Symons’ staff were invited to make a donation to the charity and dress in pink. In excess of £100 was raised and donated to the Wear it Pink charity

Breast cancer is the most common form of cancer with one woman in nine being affected by it during her lifetime in the United Kingdom alone. Many of us have been affected by family or friends have suffered from the disease and were only too willing to be participant in this important day.

 

Breast Cancer Campaign is the only charity that specialises in funding independent breast cancer research throughout the UK. They currently support 71 research projects, worth over £9.2 million in 47 locations across the country.
